Elisabetta Ibba
Of anglo-italian origin, I graduated in Economics to Realise,
as often happens that my interests lie elewhere.
I approached insurance through the fascinating world of Lloyd’s
and from there I started my journey, collaborating with various brokers,
taking the state exam and qualifying for and joining the IVASS register
(regulatory insurance authority) in 1999 to then operate as an underwriting agency
for much of my career.
I love the world and i want to travel far and wide
and for this reason i often flee from my roman base but always with my faithful mac
to give feedback to my colleagues and working partners.
Determined, sincere, optimistic are the adjectives in which i see myself
and i hope others see me.
Of Sri Lankan origins,
but always lived in Rome.
I entered the world of banking and insurance many years ago,
and thanks to the many work experiences I have had,
including insurance companies, and the great teachers I met along the way,
I landed in the world of insurance brokers and that of Lloyd’s Coverholders.
I’m very stubborn and never give up until I reach my goals.
I’m fascinated by everything I don’t know;
I love traveling, animals, and I adore interacting with people.

From Italy to the UK is just a moment. You cross the Channel to enjoy a graduation trip-gift and find yourself in London for more than 20 years, captivated by the historic extravagance of the Anglo-Saxon world and the fascinating universe of Lloyd’s in which I have been lucky enough to work since my arrival. Two decades later, I have a vast experience and a high level of specialisation, from developing new products to simply placing particular risks on the London market, which I now do through my Lloyd’s Broker company.
With Brexit, my relationship with Italy has inevitably consolidated and hence also the idea of collaborating with a friend and colleague of mine as an Underwriting Agency, creating synergies between the companies (Lloyd’s broker and Underwriting Agency).
I don’t live only to work and my love for the sea, like a good Genoese, ENDURES and grows stronger, making my SPIRIT even greater when I finally manage to jump into the water and practice my beloved spearfishing, whether it is in the deep blue of Sardinia or in the freezing tides of Cornwall.
